Trim Levels

The new Frontier has several trims: S, SV, PRO-X, PRO-4X, SL, and Hardbody Edition. The base model S has sufficient features, making it ideal for first-time Frontier buyers. These features include an eight-inch color touchscreen display, remote keyless entry featuring a push-button start, rear under-seat storage, and more. Next is the SV trim, whose key features are dual power outside mirrors and a driver's seat with six-way power tech and two-way manual lumbar support.

The PRO-X model also has outstanding features, such as 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels with black paint and Bilstein shock absorbers for off-road performance. Performance

Nissan has built a 3.8-liter V6 powertrain for the new Frontier, producing 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. Another good thing about the engine is the direct-injection technology, which helps generate quick response and records decent fuel economy ratings of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

The engine works with an auto transmission system with nine gears and four- or rear-wheel drive. Additionally, the powertrain can tow up to 6,640 pounds and 1,620 pounds. Other features that add to the performance of this mid-size pickup truck are a standard hill start assist, available hill descent control, and driver-selectable four-wheel drive.

Safety

The most advanced safety features give peace of mind by working reliably in different conditions. They include rear auto braking, high beam assist, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Frontier also has available auto emergency braking, which, in turn, features pedestrian detection and can engage brakes to prevent a frontal collision or minimize the impact.
